Perfection
so beautifully flawed.

What doesn't kill only makes us stronger.

Life has been really good for me so far.
I have a happy family, fantastic seniors and awesome friends.
And in 2009, the list just got longer.
I graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a Diploma in Molecular Biotechnology.
I passed my driving test at the first time and now am a qualified Class 3A driver.
My family is now more bonded than ever.
I got to witness Ting Zien and Mei Sin-jiejie's wedding. The first ever ROM I ever attended.
Papa bought me an iPhone as a reward for passing my driving test.
I got to teach cello at secondary schools during the period of time where I took driving lessons to learn some extra bucks.
And now, I finally have a full-time job at National University Hospital as a Patient Care Associate.

It's simply amazing, you know, to see how my life actually progresses.
I don't deny there were doubts, hiccups and obstacles throughout the path.
But, like what Aizuddin said before, what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger.
So yes, even though I fell down a lot, I learnt my lessons.
Just like the saying, "Once bitten, twice shy."

I'm officially starting work on 27th October 2009.
But that's not the point.

I'm nervous.
Very, in fact.

I have no clue at all what to expect.

But I'm very sure things will work out alright one way or another.
The people there have been very friendly towards me, at least during the interviews.

Owning an iPhone isn't as cool as what people think.
It caused a hell lot of problems for me.
Okay, actually it was just one, but it was a very troublesome one.

The first time I attached the phone to my laptop, it was okay.
I could sync it to iTunes and transfer songs into the phone.
But the second time I did the same thing, nightmare happened.
Blue Screen of Death appeared.
For those of you who are IT-illiterate like me, please click HERE for more details.
Seriously, I was very terrified because after trying umpteen times, the same happens again and again.
I decided I need help.
And therefore I asked Ting Zien and Yan Po.
Somehow the same answer was given to me.
"It's time to reformat."

With the help of Aizuddin, my laptop is now virus-free and runs faster than before because it was reformatted.

So I did the same thing.
Even before I downloaded iTunes, I attached the phone to the laptop.
It was okay.
After I downloaded iTunes and attached the phone to the laptop...............................................
BSOD appeared again.
I slumped back on my chair, shook my head and sighed damn loud in my room.

I wanted to give up already.

Then, I decided I should try out the solutions I saw on some IT forums.

Previously I took some photos using the phone, and after deleting it, surprisingly, I could sync it to iTunes once again.
But I had to clear the songs in the phone before putting anything in because a message popped up saying the phone was sync-ed to another library previously.
Anyhow, everything's back in place right now.
PHEW!

Last, last Saturday, 17 October, I met Hannah up at Northpoint Shopping Centre's Manhattan Fish Market.
We met up for lunch.
We ordered a seafood platter.

It was a pretty big serving, enough for 3 actually.
There were mussels, prawns, fish, calamari, fries and rice.
Love the prawns!
I have to bring Daren there someday.

We celebrated 3 things:
1, me getting my first pay in my life (for teaching cello),
2, me passing my driving test,
3, me passing the interview for PCA.

It had been so long since we last met, and it felt really good to know that she was doing well.
We had good food, good chat and good laugh.
She even brought me around Northpoint because the last time I been there was like 6 years ago, at least.
It was an awesome day.

*yawns*
Okay, I need my rest.
